FAQs
How do I adopt a toy?
Browse our Adopt a Toy shop, choose your rescued friend, and complete checkout. Each toy comes with its story, an adoption certificate, and sustainable packaging.
Are the toys safe for children?
All toys are cleaned with non-toxic, hypoallergenic methods and checked for safety before adoption. If a toy is better suited as a collectible rather than play, we’ll note that in its description.
What’s included with each adoption?
Every adoption includes the toy, its unique story, and a printed adoption certificate. Optional art cards and prints are also available.
Can I donate toys?
Yes! We accept gently used toys in good condition. Fill out our donation form for details on how to drop off or ship toys to us.
What toys are not accepted?
We cannot accept toys with mold, heavy staining, pest issues, or broken electrical components. Safety is our top priority.
How does sponsoring a toy work?
When you sponsor a toy, your donation covers its restoration and adoption for a child in a hospital, foster care, or an orphanage. You’ll receive a digital certificate showing the toy you helped rescue.
Can I make a recurring donation?
Yes. You can set up one-time or monthly giving through our donation page. Monthly donations help us plan future rescues and outreach more effectively.
Where do the proceeds go?
100% of proceeds fund The Toy Rescue’s mission: toy rescues, restoration, sustainable packaging, and outreach to children in need.
How can I volunteer?
We occasionally host community toy drives and need hands-on help with cleaning, sorting, and packing. Contact us to join our volunteer list.
